Environmental management deals with the effect of heat and moisture on growth rate and ammonia production, the importance of air velocity and factors affecting the efficiency of cooling broiler houses. Under health management the organs affected by the most common pathogens, vaccine application and factors affecting immune development are discussed. These topics will also form a basis for assignments by delegates.

Practical work: The functions of various internal organs and those associated with the production of antibodies and immune development will be identified and described.
